Quick Installation Guide (V2 - Enhanced)
- Initial Login
- Connect Ethernet cable to the port labeled LAN1
- Open an SSL connection using any web browser to default IP address: https://192.168.1.80:1780
- Login using default username (gbrick) and password (changeme) and accept the digital certificate
- Make sure you have selected the gbrick control center on the left hand view
- Network Setup
- On the left hand view select Gateway Network Configuration
- Select Network Interfaces and change the Boot time Ethernet IP address (eth0) to the desired IP Address / network mask and click save
- Select routing and gateways and enter the default gateway
- Select DNS client and enter the desired hostname (name.domain) and DNS servers
- Select Host Addresses – Leave the loopback interface (127.0.0.1 localhost) listed, and change the Ethernet IP host mapping to reflect your setting (IP Address and name.domain)
- On the left hand view select GBrick Gateway Configuration
- Select the Aliases tab and enter a valid email address for all gbrick administration email.
- <Optional> Select the Ports tab and enter the port number for the gbrick management web interface (default 1780)
- <Optional> Select the IP Control tab and enter all IP addresses and domains that are allowed / denied to access the gbrick management web interface
- Reboot the gateway and login using the address, port configured above.
- Gateway Setup (initial Rqueue configuration)
- On the left hand view select System Tools -> Gateway Commands -> Rqueue Config
- Under Default authentication enter mail server authentication scheme (IMAP or POP3), your authentication domain, address and port of authentication server.
- Under SMTP Server Settings enter the IP address, port and domain to be used by the gbrick gateway to release messages from quarantine.
- Under Remote Administration enter your external (public) address and port assigned to access the gbrick web management platform.
- On the left hand view select System Tools -> Gateway Commands -> Rqueue Admins
- Enter the user/s grated with administration privileges
- Select System Tools -> Gateway Commands -> Web Interface Restart
- Login with administrator privileges to the Rqueue Web Interface at the IP address assigned above (Network Setup), default port 1782
- Select Administration from the top panel, and the Gateway Configuration tab. Add each domain and corresponding email server that will receive messages from the gbrick server
- Select the Restart Mail Server tab.
- Initial Administration Setup (Remote Portal tab)
- On the left hand view select Gateway Administration
- Select Gateway Time and adjust (or NTP) system / hardware time to your time zone.
- Select Gateway Status and click on Scheduled Monitoring. Change email status report to <your email address>, Send mail via to <your smtp server
You are all set to use the Message Processing Platform (MPP) under the MPP tab. For advanced features, configuration, and administration tools please utilize the System Tools and System Administration tabs on the left hand selection menu of the portal (webmin) view.
